Why Should I Podcast?
Getting known on the Internet is the result of a good podcasting strategy. It can increase your business and lead you to new opportunities. However, getting known isn’t the only benefit podcasting will bring you!
First, as I said before, you become a thought leader via podcasting. As a thought leader, you influence a part of your industry and its thinking. Thus, you can “influence” your industry and your potential or even current clients. This leads to more business, more requests for speaking engagements, and more recognition.
Third, it gets you more opportunities because people get to know you! If you want fame, you can get it. If you want to be recognized in your field as a leader, you can get it. If you want clients to call you, you can get it! The end result of your podcasting efforts is directly relational to your show, how you put it together, and what you are telling your listeners. It’s what you make it!
Fourth, it’s the least expensive way to get your message out to your prospective clients, your industry, and your current clients. It’s the way to bond, to impress, and to motivate your clients. You can’t buy this type of result in any other form of media without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars: consider making an infomercial plus buying the air time; yeah.
Why should you consider podcasting? It simply works for you and it’s very affordable! It’s a smart use of today’s new media. You will be just amazed at the end results.
Second, you become a trusted advisor. Thus, you can recommend things to your clients. You can suggest ways of doing business, ways of improving their business, and of protecting their business. For example, attorneys who podcast can develop more business from existing clients by their trusted advisor role, far easier than via traditional methods. When my trusted attorney talks to me, I listen because she saves my bacon!
A trusted advisor and a subject matter expert: A Podcaster!
