What is the process of podcasting with Peter Brusso?
If you are one of my “Long Distance”, clients there are several ways to have your podcasts produced. If you need video, then I can hire a video company to shoot your session. The video company will send it to me, where I will work my brand of magic.
Another way is for the podcaster to purchase or rent a camera and sound gear to make a few podcasts, then, if rented, return the equipment and send me the videotape. If we use this option, I need to monitor this very closely as making good video isn’t as easy as it looks. But, the process is doable.
A third option for video is a visit, either by me flying to your location to shoot a series of podcasts or you can fly to Los Angeles to do the same. Many times my clients travel to Los Angeles and can stop in for a podcast session.
Long distance audio is much easier. All the client needs to purchase is a good microphone headset for his/her computer, and with free audio software, my client can record the podcast then email it to me, again to work my wonders. It can be just that simple.

If you are local to me, great, as I will comes to your location to video or audio tape your podcasts. From that point, I take the data back to my shop to work my wonders. I generally produce your podcast in short order, then email it to you for approval. If it is a video podcast, I choose or purchase the “float over” pictures to help illustrate your podcast presentation at no extra fee. All of the “float overs” are purchased and come with a royalty free use.
Also you can use a voice over IP service called Skype.com to record your conversations with guests. What can also be done is to call me via your phone and let me record the call, I will be silent, and just capture your podcast. I would then work my magic on the podcast.
Once the audio files are in my hands, I clean them up from a “verbal” standpoint, all the “ahs” are gone, etc, and then I process the file to be optimized for delivery on the web. I also place this audio file into a program that places your introduction music and exit music. I can also place ads for you, imbedded into the audio. These ad’s would be centered on things you are doing or selling; not commercial ads.
So there is little excuse for you not to be podcasting and using the new media 2.0 world to get your name out there!
If that isn’t simple enough, the client can purchase a mobile MP3 recorder and do all their recording with that device. Once they are finished, they can send the files to me via a service called “yousendit.com”. That service allows for large files to move across the Internet for a small fee. Many times the files are small enough to be emailed for free, all from the same Internet service.
