Where do I submit my podcasts too?

One more important aspect of using Blip.tv is that many other podcast sites come and “grab” content for their website. In doing this, your podcast has a chance to viral market itself out there and, of course, that is really good for you and your show!
Another website to place your podcasts on is Feedburner.com. At this site, they help to serve your video and audio podcasts to other podcast websites.  They can also help track in some stats and to advertise if you should want to add advertisements to your feed.  I always suggest you don’t put that kind of advertisement on your show, but then again, that decision is show dependent.  There are far better ways to make money off your show, if that is a goal or ROI point for you.

Finally, the next place I place your podcast is on Everyzing.com.  This is also a free service.  Everyzing.com converts your podcasts into written words and submits them  to the search engines.  Needless to say, your relevance jumps up and you are moved higher in the search engines.  As I have mentioned before, this is very strategic as the search engines see your name, topic matter, etc, coming from a source other than you!

As my client, you don’t have to do anything: I take care of “where” to put your podcasts.  However, it is important to understand where I put your podcasts and why.
There are two strategies that are used in the placement of your podcasts.  One is to have them on your website if possible, either physically, link, or a linked player.  Not that your website will get all that much traffic, but whatever traffic it does get can “run” into your podcasts.  Most websites don’t have much traffic, so putting them on just your site can really hurt you with respect to gaining more listeners.  Another thing it does for you is that when search engines come to your site, they find your podcasts plus the links.  That adds to the relevance of your website and, once again, helps to move your name up in relevance in the eyes of the search engine.
The second strategy is to have your podcasts on a popular podcast hosting website.  I prefer to use Blip.tv as it is a very upscale video and audio hosting site.  This allows for more traffic to the podcasts and takes advantage of all the built-in features from Blip.tv. Blip.tv tracks your statistics for you, shows you who is watching what and how many times.  One of the most important aspects of Blip.tv is that a “view”, has to be a complete view, that is from start to finish or they don’t count it as a “view”.  Many podcast hosts show “hits” and this is really not important.  A “hit” could be just someone starting the podcast then bouncing off to another site; that data is useless at best.  So, as a podcaster, one might get really excited about the “hits” only to find out no one is really listening.
Blip.tv is the preferred site by Mr. Brusso where he places your podcasts to be found by the world!
